When I started with my ostomy I was shown putting paste around the opening in the wafer. It would sting something terrible. When I switched to the "no sting barrier" all that was gone. I use a hair dryer to quickly dry the barrier. I leave the package vertical for a few minutes before opening. Then pull the foam aplicator out a little way to make it ready. I love this product!!! -
