Put a new one of these on & one of the cloth ones on the same day so I could rotate back & forth every other day. It out lasted the cloth back one by several days. Of course it helps to read all of the directions. I had gone right past the part that said I should wrap the cloth one with Saran Wrap when showering. I'm sure it will make a big difference. Had been afraid to use this one because it is mostly adhesive. I'm allergic to regular medical adhesive tape & have to use the paper tape. But, I didn't get any swelling or the usual reactions.

Various catheter supplies
I recently ordered 3 different size catheter bags along with Statlock stabilizers (they are the greatest!). Everything was name brands and arrived in perfect condition in a timely way. I was pleased with the prices. I Live close to medical supply shops but my savings from LoCost makes ordering cheaper and easier! I will always use them for my medical needs!! Pat in Houston

Tricot great, foam not so much
I bought both items, because I wanted to see how they would work with my super sensitive skin. I used a no sting skin barrier, prior to placing either StatLocks. After one week, I started itching under the foam product. I did develop a fungal infection under the foam StatLock. I removed the tricot, just to check things out. My skin under the tricot was perfect. I probably could have left it on for a longer period of time. I used the products to hold long J-Tubes and G-Tubes, which are like a foley catheter. I recommend the Tricot for sensitive skin.

This is a wonderful product, my dad who has dementia would pull at his catheter resulting in injury. This statlock along with putting long pants on him prevented him from pulling the cath completely out. Its also very easy to use. I am not a nurse but do help with my dad's care I was able to easily change this out on my own.

This is the only catheter
This is the only catheter clamp we have found satisfactory. A good locking mechanism and adhesive seems to be satisfactory to stick to user.

They're OK
I wish the lock mechanism was just a little bit wider -- it seems like the catheter branches get pinched. Also, the adhesive seems to wear away very quickly-it's understandable that getting it wet when showering would cause it to loosen, but even when dry, it seems to start coming away from the skin. I guess it's better than nothing though

The 102 "breathes' better than the other Statlocks. The foam backed one causes great irritation on the skin if worn over a long period of time. We had to search for new patches of thigh! Wish we'd found 102 a long time ago.

Post op, I had a very bright nurse who had a great idea. Secured to my thigh, the catheter was ok during the day. At night, though, when I moved around in my sleep there was too much pulling and tension when I moved my legs around. Her solution was to use two statlocks. She added a second one to my abdomen. The switch-over was quick and easy, and allowed me to sleep more comfortably. When morning came it was easy to switch back to the original statlock.

Statlock Foley 2-way Catheter Stabilization Device Fol100
This Catheter Stabilization device is about the third or fourth different stabilizer my husband has used. The Velcro type stabilizers seemed to slip and came lose a lot, and the other types he used the adhesive would come off in a couple of days. While in the hospital recently, he was introduced to the Statlock device and it is the best we have found! This stabilizer is comfortable, and last him about four weeks.

They last only one day if that!
On my 3rd one now , great idea, but poorly designed clip to lock in place. First failure at hospital when they had to remove bag to replace with leg bag, next day at home just moving, came unclipped and cannot get to attach again. Waiting on 3rd in 3 days. Such a joke. Redesign the clip to lock, they will not stay locked!!!

Starlock Stabilization Device Foley FOLO 100 JUCNF287
The quality of my recent was excellent. Item was received without delay. However, the Foley was too small for the larger Catheter tube (slightly larger). Please recommend a suitable Foley.

When I retired from nursing years ago we did not have a device like this for securing a foley. It is wonderful for both the patient and the caregiver.

The adhesive just did not stay stuck for long enough. it only lasted about 12-16 hours. And it itched a great deal and left a red rash on skin. Patients skin was properly prepared,(IE)clean and dry.

Your adhesive holding the stabilizing device is for the birds. It detached the first night of wearing, wetting my bedding and causing missed sleep.

Pretty good item
These work well except that the plastic toggle separates from the "bandaid" part after 2 or 3 days. As a result I frequently need to replace the whole thing which is becoming expensive.

Maybe I ordered the wrong StatLock because it won't allow me to insert the catheter tubing and then close the snap lock. He uses a very large size Suprapubic catheter. If you have an answer for me please let me know.

The VEF...100 has worked fine; I use this model because it is what the Hospital used upon my discharge. The locking device is secure, leaving me with little worry.

Using silicone catheters. If leg bag or drainage bag jammed in tightly enough, the statlock does not stay closed. If connection loosened to keep clamp closed, the bag can disconnect. Has happened 3 times now. :(

Most comfortable
This was the third different stabilizer I have used. It is, by far, the most comfortable. The Velcro type slip, and others have Very Aggressive adhesive. This clamp on swivel is the best! They last 2 weeks through working and showering.

It will not work adequately with all Foley Catheters. Connection at the main line might be too thick to clamp it in place

This is the best--by far!
This catheter holder is, without a doubt, the best product for securing Foleys. Keeps 'em in place, yet allows freedom of movement. The tricot style is far more reliable than the foam one, though--doesn't disintegrate in the shower!
