I always use these pads instead of their slimmer alternative.. .I don't know whether it's psychological that I feel more secure with a big pad on than the thin ones but I do feel like they are more absorbent. The way I see it is whether the pad is thin or thin I will be conscious that I have a pad on that I may as well have the security of a thick pad on....these thick ones fit perfectly and are comfortable to wear too. I always make sure I have two packs ready each month for my periods as I get really heavy periods. I recommend this to everyone who suffers with heavy periods
